Clear penalty, up the other end it would've been given as it would for any so called top 6 team. Until the refereeing is consistent the shit decisions will continue to happen. You only have to look at the bookings we picked up at Spurs when they didn't get one.

The. Challenge on Antonio was a clear pen...
During the game it looked 50-50...
On seeing highlights much later with a full on view ...clear PEN... for 2-0...

Very dodgy VAR non. Decision. .favouring top. Team...

I never wanted VAR and want it abandoned as soon as possible. But as long as it's here isn't the Antonio foul exactly what it was brought in for. It's a clear foul, the defender doesn't just clip him but takes him out completely, and doesn't get even the slightest touch on the ball.
So how the fuck could the VAR moron not see that. What has he seen?
As others have said if that had happened up the other end it would have been awarded.
But for the authorities to defend such an obvious error as 'subjective' is ridiculous. Of course it's subjective. Pretty much all foul play decisions are subjective but when the goal line camera removes that subjectiveness it becomes 'clear and obvious'.

The other day Bamford caught his studs in ground while close to Mings.

Mings (who had been booked already) thought Bamford had dived, Bamford clearly in pain was picked up by Mings, shook and then pushed back down to the ground.. VAR looked at it and saw nothing wrong..

Just like tottenham and villa stole our headlines when we beat Leicester, Slabhead Maguire stole our penalty shout headlines.

How’s dragging someone to the ground in a headlock for clear and obvious?

There’s more consistency in a lumpy pancake mix.

Tom - As I've said, nobody understands it, and that includes the refs and the scottley park dimwits. No one knows what the benchmarks are for 'clear and obvious' either.

A goal would have been nice, or even just a bit of effort would've helped.

Well, it must be you who was/is still drunk because no one was calling Haller mustard. You’re right though, he was dogshit and should have had a hat-trick yesterday.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Man City - Official Match Thread
Part of the reason we were under so much pressure second half was because we didn't have Antonio as an outlet. Antonio makes himself available. We can't expect Haller to be Antonio, but surely he can at least have a bit of a presence. He never seems to.
He probably needs a run to show what, if anything, he can do, and he does show the odd bit of quality here and there, but is it worth it?

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Man City - Official Match Thread
I remember seeing some comments insisting Haller was mustard yesterday and ignored thinking it was a random drunk posting but it seems his PR team are working overtime.

For yesterday's game at least, Haller was dogshit by any means of measurement you care to make.

My strongest memory of his best effort yesterday was near the end when Fornals in a street football stylee cleverly caught a long pass and flicked it into Hallers path, who proceeded to spaz it up.
That was the best effort from Haller yesterday, and I don't care what his mum says he was utter shit with the mardy demeanour that betrays his couldn't give a fuckness.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Man City - Official Match Thread
Are you quoting BBC ratings, Kaiser? That obviously means a lot. The fact is, you and others have made up your mind on Haller and you mention it at pretty much any opportunity. Even when he comes on with only 20 minutes to go when basically we don’t even get out of our own half, he still gets stick. You even mistakenly thought that he replaced Antonio because your dislike of him is so ingrained. What exactly did he do wrong, apart from not grinning in front of the cameras?

No forward was going to do much. We were under the pump and everytime the ball went up it was to Yarmalenko who managed in various comical ways to pass to them.

Even putting a through ball into our area, poor sod had a mare.

I don’t remember Haller doing fuck all, apart from the header in our box. I thought Yarmalenko was one of their better players.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Man City - Official Match Thread
I have seen Man U particularly get half a dozen of those pens in the last six months.
Lots of slowed down replays to find a touch (ANY TOUCH) & its a pen
That was a routine pen if it was treated like any of those.
Plus the others where we have been told there wasn't ENOUGH contact

Have said there should be a VAR panel (retired refs, ex-pros) with no connection to the current refs whose role is to tell the ref to GO TO THE MONITOR

By the way when I was looking to see that Anthony Taylor comes from MANCHESTER I came across an article on the teams that referees support.
Seems Lee Mason is a Bolton fan which finally makes clear why the cunt never gives us anything

They're corrupt as fuck. It's an unashamedly corrupt league and always has been. Commentators even used to just laugh and shrug at 'Fergie Time'. That's how corrupt it is.

Iron Duke 12:42 Sun Oct 25
Re: ⚽ West Ham v Man City - Official Match Thread
Are referees shit or just corrupt? It seems to me that VAR helps them get the results they want. They can decide which decisions to refer and which angles they want to use. It is not a level playing field.

City players were getting into the refs face about the supposed handball by Soucek, including and up to halftime

That's something we should do more of

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Man City - Official Match Thread
VAR was brought in to help referees who are generally fucking shit. They then make it so those same shit fucking referees basically decide when to use the tool to redress their ineptitude. It's no surprise then that it's an inconsistent, big club biased shitshow because that's what the cunts that control it are. I fucking hate VAR, and I fucking guarantee that would have been a penalty if Man City player had ended up on his arse in the box under the same circumstances.

Iron Duke 12:37 Sun Oct 25
Re: ⚽ West Ham v Man City - Official Match Thread
Was it just me who had that sinking despair watching Haller replace Antonio?

Yes it was. Especially as Yarmolenko replaced Antonio. When Haller came on with 20 minutes left he looked really lazy and uninterested when he was back defending in our own box and heading away a dangerous ball. If only he smiled everything would be okay.
